Alison Sweeney’s real-life love story is straight out of a Hallmark movie

The Days of our Lives alum was introduced to her husband, Dave Sanov, when they were children. They reconnected years later and got .

“His dad and my mom play the violin for feature-film soundtracks, so we’ve actually known each other our whole lives,” Sweeney told Access in 2019 of their decades-long relationship. “I totally had a crush on him when we were kids.”

Victor Webster and Shantel VanSanten met while filming Hallmark’s Love Blossoms, in which they played love interests Violet Chappel and Dec Granger. The former couple instantly hit it off and went on to date for four years, eventually getting engaged in .

“It was the most perfect, wonderful day of my entire life,” VanSanten, who currently stars on FBI: Most Wanted, told People of Webster’s proposal. “And I can’t wait to marry my best friend.”

She continued: “Relationships aren’t easy – you have to fight for it, you have to work at it … We’ve done that and we’ve put in the work and now feel settled. I’m excited that we get to begin forever together.”

The pair enjoyed a trio of wedding celebrations in 2021, beginning with an intimate and impromptu civil ceremony outside the Pasadena City Hall in California.

After less than two years of marriage, however, Webster and VanSanten decided to go their separate ways. Webster filed for divorce from the One Tree Hill alum in , listing their date of separation as Jan. 10. He did not include a reason for the divorce filing and neither actor has spoken publicly about their split.

Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace

Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace fell for each other when they joined the cast of When Calls the Heart during Season 6. McGarry stars as Nathan Grant, while Wallace portrays Fiona Miller. Although their characters aren’t involved romantically, the two actors hit it off in real life. They went Instagram official with their relationship in , McGarry asked Wallace to marry him.

The couple confirmed their engagement on Instagram, sharing a video of them kissing as Wallace showed off her ring. They captioned the post simply, “Forever??.”

In addition to WCTH, McGarry and Wallace have also co-starred in two Hallmark movies: Feeling Butterflies and My Grown-Up Christmas List.

Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum

Like her WCTH castmates, Erin Krakow also fell for her co-star and is now dating Ben Rosenbaum. Krakow stars as the show’s protagonist, Elizabeth Thornton, while Rosenbaum has played Mike Hickam since Season 1. Krakow confirmed their romance in , sharing a photo of herself giving Rosenbaum a kiss on the cheek.

While speaking to People in , the actress shared why she thinks so many relationships have come out of the show. “I think there’s just always been a bit of magic in Hope Valley,” she told the outlet. “There’s something so special about our show and the energy in Jamestown [British Columbia, Canada], where we shoot.”

Ashley Williams also met her husband through work, but not on the set of a Hallmark movie. The Christmas in Evergreen star met Neal Dodson in 2003 in the office of an acting coach. At the time, Williams was starring in the sitcom Good Morning, Miami and Dodson was working as an assistant. “16 years ago today I laid eyes on him for the first time in ‘s office,” she wrote on Instagram of their first meeting. “He was coaching actresses on their accents for auditions and I was on a sitcom and that day he was wearing a big red hoodie and I just wanted to hug him.”
